Maine Trip 2024 - August 8 -9, 2024 - Florida, NY

 August 8, 2024 Black Bear RV Park - Rain and fog the whole drive up from Pennsylvania.  This park is very isolated and nice.  Near the village of Florida, NY (in Orange county).  Once again, not many people here, maybe 10% occupied.

How it was when we were here (we're way down this road, just past the big class A:

August 9, 2024 - still a bit of rain and fog (from Hurricane Debby), but we're going out and about anyway.  We toured the countryside, this area does not meet most people's expectation of New York, here is a typical country road in this area:

A very tall church steple caught our eye, so we had to explore - it was an old church in Chester, NY.

We found a local winery, so of course we had to taste - they are owned by a California guy, so they had both local NY and California wines.  We weren't overly impressed by the NY wines, but they did have a Pinot Noir that we bought a bottle of.  We were the only ones there, the scenery was beautiful.
