Maine Trip 2024 - August 12 - 14, 2024 - Old Orchard Beach, ME
August 12, 2024 - Old Orchard Beach Campground
Very nice park, lots of cabins and tiny houses up front near the road, big RV spaces back in the trees. We have a large pull through. It was finally cool enough to sit outside last night, not cool enough yet for a fire.
We went down to the Old Orchard Beach Pier/Beach to a dog-friendly place to get a lobster roll, the primary goal of this whole trip. It did not disappoint, very delicious and buttery.
August 13, 2024 - Drove around the area today, went to Ferry Beach State Park for a good walk with the boys, then on to Portland. We drove along the wharf, very busy and hard to navigate - finally went out to Cape Elizabeth (after waiting for the draw bridge) and the Portland Head Light House. We found a picnic area and sat and enjoyed sandwiches, the weather was perfect.
August 14, 2024 - Drove to Kennebunkport today, stopped off at a nature perserve to walk the boys, very nice trail in the trees.
Kennebunkport is very charming, right on the coast with lots of beautiful homes and great coast line.
Found a BringFido place called "Barnacle Bills" in Ongonquit harbor where we could sit outside with the boys and enoy Lobstah! Right at the harbor.

Sounds like you enjoyed Kennebunkport. I loved it there. We’ve just finished car week here. Exhausted! Are you one your way home?
